About Me

My name is Jason Claxton, I'm nineteen years old, and I am a landscape and wildlife artist.

 

​​​Ever since I can remember I have loved to color, trace, and draw. I started painting at twelve years old and it quickly became my passion. Homeschooling has allowed me to excel in education and hone my skills as an artist. My family loves taking road trips and camping together, and I find inspiration in the beautiful places we visit. I am awed by God's masterful creation and I hope to reflect just a glimpse of His vastness and beauty in my paintings. I love to portray the importance of church, home, and family with old church buildings, rustic cabins, and classic farms.

​​​​​​​​​​My work has won blue ribbons at the Orange County Fair in 2022 and 2024. I have received first and second-place awards from the Master's Edition Youth Art Competition from 2022-2024.
